$3.5 BILLION in economic impact. 🌎⚽🗽 FIFA World Cup 2026™ delivered for New York and New Jersey — generating $3.5 billion in total regional economic impact and surpassing initial projections. Across the tournament, 1.3 million match attendees and non-local visitors helped generate $1.7 billion in visitor spending throughout the regional economy. And the impact extended far beyond the stadium, with more than 2 million attendees at Official Fan Events across New York New Jersey — bringing together visitors and local communities throughout the summer. In total, the tournament supported more than 27,000 jobs, generated $1.4 billion in labor income and delivered more than $414 million in state and local tax revenue.
