A new reel about my process step-by-step for a recent commissioned painting of Paris colourful rooftops 🧡👇🏻 As you have already noticed, I usually paint on a pre-colored background because I find it more easy to control the composition and the color scheme. It could be a warm color as orange but also cold nuances. It depends on the main color range of the future painting as I like to have a contrast with this background. Besides, in the end, there might be some spots uncovered by the oil paint that will pop up like tiny colorful accents, which will influence the chromatic of the painting.
