The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office is pleased to highlight a recent training attended by our employees at Central Piedmont Community College from August 10 to 14. The National Institute of Corrections (NIC) hosted its 9th annual Case Management Course in North Carolina, and we are proud to announce that MCSO was honored to be selected from numerous agencies that applied. NIC offers structured case management training for correctional staff, specifically for jails, prisons, and community corrections. Case management is a systematic approach for assessing residents, providing routine services, and planning for successful reentry into society. This approach highlights the importance of comprehending the resident's history, needs, and risks to inform interventions and support positive outcomes. We would like to take this time to say thank you to our staff for their unwavering dedication to enhancing their knowledge and skills in order to better serve our community. #mecksheriff
