The ladies of the Lambda Zeta chapter have been hard at work servicing the community. Earlier this month, sorors made a great first impression on the newest University of Alabama students through assisting with move-in. At John England Jr Hall, they unloaded vehicles, loaded carts, escorted freshman students to their rooms and helped them unpack their belongings. For the first day of school, sorors volunteered at MLK Elementary School and Central Elementary School. Sorors aided in school drop off and welcomed students inside, encouraging them as they entered their first day of school. Finally, this past Saturday, members volunteered at the Center for Service and Leadership’s annual Big Day of Service. During the event, sorors served across three sites. At the West Alabama Food Bank, they helped pack over 300 grocery boxes that benefit seniors citizens across west Alabama through the food bank’s Senior Brown Box program.
