At around 44 years of age, Annie the short-beaked echidna continues to capture the hearts of staff, volunteers, members and guests here at your Toronto Zoo, and we’re incredibly proud to be celebrating this special ambassador 🦔 Annie recently had a routine check-up at the Wildlife Health and Science Centre toward the end of July, and we’re happy to share that she’s in good health! Her team also took the time to check her foot, which continues to look great following surgery in 2024. Through regular health assessments, daily observations and trusting relationships built with her team, we can continue providing Annie with exceptional care as she ages.
