There are some songs that feel like home 🫂🎧 “Islands in the Stream” is one of those songs so many of us Pasifika people grew up hearing, singing, dancing to, and sharing with the people we love. 🙌🏽 There’s just something about music that can cross generations, cultures & oceans and still bring people together. 🔥 Originally written by Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees, the song became an unforgettable duet through Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton in 1983. And now, with the passing of both Kenny and Dolly, hearing this song feels even more special. 🕊️ A reminder of why music is so powerful. It becomes part of our memories, our families & our celebrations. Decades later, we’re still singing along! 🎶🤎 🎥 via btsmarkharmony #islandsinthestream #dollyparton #kennyrogers #music #nostalgia
