Your period is more than a date on your calendar.
Changes in your cycle can offer clues about what’s happening with your hormones, stress load and overall health.
And there are other patterns worth noticing:
• Spotting between periods → can happen with hormonal fluctuations and has other possible causes
• Brown blood → often older blood leaving the uterus
• PMS → can be influenced by normal hormone fluctuations; severe PMS deserves attention
• Menstrual migraines → estrogen fluctuations can be a trigger
• Changes in flow → can happen as estrogen + progesterone fluctuate, especially during perimenopause
• Irregular cycles → stress, thyroid function, perimenopause and other factors can all play a role
• New or worsening hair loss, fatigue or temperature changes alongside cycle changes → worth discussing with your healthcare provider
The goal isn’t to diagnose yourself from one symptom.
It’s to notice your patterns instead of ignoring them.
Your body communicates with you every day....
