Parker McQuarrie has spent most of his college football career carrying the label of what he could become. A four-star prospect. A UCLA signee. A 6-foot-7 quarterback with a big arm and major expectations. Now, after a journey through multiple levels of college football, parkermcquarrie finally has his shot. The former four-star recruit has won the starting quarterback job at Johnson C. Smith University and will lead the defending CIAA champions into the 2026 season. JCSU head coach Maurice Flowers says McQuarrie earned the job through his consistency, film study and extra work with his receivers. “He just really hasn’t got his shot to be a starting college quarterback,” Flowers said. That changes Saturday. The former four-star prospect has already won the job.
