ONE STEP CLOSER | Greenville City Council has approved the first reading of what could be one of the city's largest annexation projects. The city wants to bring a 135-acre area along Woodruff Road into Greenville’s city limits, including property along I-385 and businesses such as Sam’s Club, Chick-fil-A, and the Merovan Business Center. The annexation must receive approval on a second reading before it can take effect.
