I could have taken a flight to Ladakh. Instead, I took a train, then a bus, rented a motorcycle, and let the roads decide the rest. 🏔️🏍️ What followed was everything I hoped for and more. New friends made on a 35-hour bus journey. Sunrise rides through mountain passes. Nubra’s sand dunes and double-humped camels. The unreal blue of Pangong and Tso Moriri. Rainbows appearing out of nowhere. Long stretches of empty roads through Hanle and Puga. And nights spent looking up at the Milky Way, watching shooting stars cross the sky. 🌌 Somewhere between the roads, the lakes, the stars and the people I met along the way, Ladakh stopped being just another destination.
