The gifts aren’t enough. That was one of the messages that stood out to this attendee after hearing me speak at the PhySec Leadership Summit. I was given height. I was given talent. I was given opportunities. But eventually I learned that none of those things could replace putting in the work. That’s why hearing from the people I speak to is so important to me. I want to know what connected. What made them think. What they’re going to carry with them after the talk is over. Because getting on stage is one thing. Making an impact is another.
