How it started 👉 how it’s going On Aug. 30, our Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will lift off to space, where it will change the way we view the cosmos. It will launch on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Launch Complex 39A at NASAKennedy in Florida. Roman will make its home in orbit 1 million miles away from Earth at a location called L2, or the second Sun-Earth Lagrange point. L2 is a sweet spot near Earth where gravity is balanced to keep Roman in steady orbit with very little effort. The launch broadcast will begin at 6:20 a.m. EDT (1020 UTC) on Aug. 30—save the date and set your alarms to join us! Credit: NASA #NASA #Roman #Launch
