THE PØWER ØF BLACK N WHITE. Although my photography editing style usually uses lots of colors, I love using black and white, especially in concert photography. When done right, it looks mad sexy and hits different. Its power comes from adding a high level of contrast, which highlights the details and textures of your subject—whether it’s tattoos, hair, clothing, jewelry, or even sweat, which looks crisp and clear in B/W. For those new to concert photography, you might notice that artists in smaller venues often have the worst lighting conditions. Low or solid color lighting forces you to bump up your ISO a lot, creating a lot of grain in your images. Even with some of the biggest artists, you can get the worst multi-million dollar lighting, but when you edit in B/W, that grain gives the photo a raw, punchy vibe. • • • #concertphotography #prismlensfx #adobe #photography #sonyalpha
