So I built Inkling. Here is how it works. You make a profile of what you want and need in an artist. Every preference is set to Any, Prefer, or Must. Anything marked Must hard filters your deck: you are never shown an artist who doesn't meet it. Prefer ranks the rest. So you only browse artists who clear every Must, and swipe. An artist never gets a directory of clients. They only see the people who already swiped yes on them, then choose whether to take the work. If they like back, it's a match and you can talk.
