A huge part of why I love being able to impact young people’s lives is giving them the opportunity to see the world and travel. 🌍 When you’re growing up and navigating your weekly basketball schedule, it’s easy to believe your inner circle, your gym, your team, your routine, is the centre of the world. It’s not. 🙏 When you get the opportunity to go on tour, or head to college in the USA, remember this: the basketball part of it will only last a short time. Not everyone goes pro. Not everyone makes the game their life after college. That’s exactly why I spend so much time helping players with the details, the location, the culture, the whole picture, before they accept a scholarship offer. Because the travel matters just as much as the basketball. Exposure to new people, new cultures, new experiences, that’s what pushes you toward finding out who you really are.
