Last night was one of those evenings that reminded me why I love being surrounded by creative people. I had the pleasure of attending the opening of an exhibition artangels dedicated to Marilyn Monroe and meeting the artist Russell Young bankrobbercalifornia behind the work. I especially enjoyed having the opportunity to speak with him about his art and creative vision. There was something in his interpretation of Marilyn that truly resonated with me, not simply as an icon, but as a woman, a muse, and an enduring symbol of femininity. The sparkle catches the eye, but what stays with me is the question of what lies beneath it: the vulnerability, complexity, and human story behind the icon.
