A big commitment to supporting his local community 👏⁠ ⁠ Prime Minister Andy Burnham has pledged to donate 15% of his MP salary to good causes in his Makerfield constituency, continuing a practice he followed during his time as Mayor of Greater Manchester.⁠ ⁠ His first donation since becoming PM is set to go to Ashton Bears rugby league club, which has provided coaching and match opportunities for men, women and children for nearly 40 years.⁠ ⁠ Speaking about the club, Burnham said: “I was impressed by their investment in local talent and deep roots in communities.”⁠ ⁠ The amount being donated to Ashton Bears has not been disclosed.⁠ ⁠ #AndyBurnham #Rugby #LADbible⁠
