We 💙 New York Road Runners members and Grete Waitz. Congrats to the more than 8,000 NYRR members who took part in Saturday’s NYRR Grete’s Great Gallop 10K. This member-only race, with its family-friendly post-race festival experience, is a cherished part of NYRR Member Week every year. It honors the late Grete Waitz, a running legend who won the New York City Marathon *nine* times and the New York Mini 10K five times. Beyond her achievements, Grete was the founding chair of the NYRR Foundation, now known as NYRR Community Impact, inspiring future generations of runners.
