The Divine Nine just got a $2.5 MILLION mission. The King Center and the National Pan-Hellenic Council have launched #D9StrongerTogether, a unified campaign calling on members, affiliates and supporters of all nine organizations to help preserve the King legacy. (The King Center) The goal: at least 130,000 donors and more than $2.5 million raised. Supporters are encouraged to give $19.30 or more, honoring 1930, the year the NPHC was founded. (The King Center) The money will support preservation and public access to The King Center’s historic archives, expand Kingian Nonviolence education and training, and strengthen the Center as it approaches King100, marking Coretta Scott King’s 100th birthday in 2027 and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s in 2029.
