Martinez announced that the torn ACL she suffered on August 15 against Allie Katch at a 2CW event is a career-ending injury, cutting short her Last Run Tour three-quarters of the way through what was already planned as her final full-time year. “Two doctors later, an MRI later, the prognosis is torn ACL. For most, it’s probably not a career-ending injury, but for me, it is.” In her video announcement, Martinez said all future bookings will be cancelled, that surgery is required but not yet scheduled, and that she will do appearances as long as she is able to travel. On X, she said: “Not goodbye to wrestling. Just goodbye to the in-ring portion.” Martinez faces medical costs when surgery happens.
