Mustard Seed Faith
Pushing through when nobody knows what it cost you
Sometimes people think strength means you never get sick,
never get tired,
never get hit.
But some of us were taught to keep going so gracefully
that nobody even notices when we are carrying pain.
I was sick all week.
And most people would never know it
because I do not make a public performance out of every private battle.
I do what I have always done:
pray, breathe, steady myself, and keep moving.
Faith is not always loud.
Sometimes it is not a mountain-moving roar.
Sometimes it is a mustard seed.
Tiny.
Barely visible.
Still enough.
Enough to whisper,
“Lord, get me through this day.”
Enough to keep singing
while your spirit searches for water.
Today, I am reminded:
You do not need a crowd to witness your endurance
for your endurance to be!
Some of the deepest strength
is quiet.
Some of the truest faith
is the kind that keeps going softly.
And even now, I am still reaching for the wat...
