Amyl and the Sniffers, Outbreak Fest x All Points East REVIEW: Is there a finer festival band making their way around the touring circuit these days than Amyl and the Sniffers? No, there really isn’t. Every ingredient that makes that statement a fact is on show in absolute abundance here as they turn this main stage into the back of a pub like it is second nature. There’s the ferocity of the songs at their disposal, the sort of snotty, savage, seething punk tunes that make you stop in your tracks and gawp. ‘Guided By Angels’ and ‘Control’ sending the thousands, and then more by the second, into absolute raptures. There’s their effervescent demeanour, Amy Taylor managing to turn every welcoming grin into a shocking grimace with the flick of the switch, and revelling in the drama it creates.
