Building on the success of the pilot FIS/FESA Speed Clinic and Speed Academy program, held in Sölden in spring 2026, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and the Federation of European Ski & Snowboard Associations (FESA) have joined forces to develop the program into a new long-term initiative: the Alpine Performance Series: Speed Excellence. The Alpine Performance Series aims to advance speed disciplines in Alpine skiing by combining athlete development, coach education, and competition opportunities in one program. Rather than separating education from performance, the initiative creates environments where athletes and coaches learn, train, and grow together on the snow.
