Since September 2025, UC Berkeley senior Heidi Andrade has been working to get students access to Canva Campus. Almost a year later, with no additional tuition cost, Canva Campus has become free for all full-time students, granting full access beyond Canva Pro to premium templates, AI tools and unlimited stock images. According to a meeting between Andrade and Mia Healy from Canva, the UC system is currently a part of a licensing structure with Canva which grants students free Canva Campus if a certain threshold of staff purchase licenses to use its services. Though Berkeley had met this threshold, Andrade cited that due to campus’s concerns with Canva’s accessibility standards, they had yet to activate this resource for students.
