The Aussie Beef Mate's first program on day 4 started with the Aboriginal Bush Tucker Tour at the Royal Botanic Garden. During the tour, they visited the Cadi Jam Ora garden, learn about the arrival of the First Fleet (Europeans) who arrived in Australia in 1788, and learned about some of the hottest bush foods on the market. This was followed by a modern Asian cuisine lunch at the Botanic House, helmed by Chef, restaurateur, TV presenter & former Master Chef judge Luke Nguyen who brings over twenty years' of experience. In the afternoon, the Aussie Beef Mates attended the Beef Masterclass hosted by Sam Burke, Kelly Payne and Julie Ballard of Meat & Livestock Australia to learn about butchery, versatility, MSA, and food safety & integrity systems of Australian beef. After the beef masterclass, Aussie Beef Mates were divided into teams and held a cooking challenge to compete with each other's cooking skills and passion.
