A lot can change in a few years.
Before Will Swinton was touring arenas with Machine Gun Kelly, he was working full time at a trampoline park in Auckland and making music after his shifts.
He eventually sold his car, quit his job and took a chance on music. A chance encounter with MGK later turned into an arena opening slot, and now Will is signed to 10K Projects/Capitol Records, has more than 100 million streams and just wrapped a North American headline tour of his own.
I sat down with him before his final show in Brooklyn to talk about that entire journey, his new music and what happens when you take a chance on yourself.
