Day 1 hiking part of Tour du Mont Blanc to Refugio del Balme🏔️ We stayed in Les Houches, only a 15 minute bus ride to Chamonix and where the official start/finish of the TMB is. We found a place in town to store our luggage for 2 nights and set off! I took a cable car from Les Houches to cut off some mileage and climbing and then had an almost 14 mile hike to the Refugio My ankle is on the mend fortunately and I didn’t break it.
