At just 16 year old was when my public speaking journey began… At just 16 years old, I was standing at a at a Rotary Club in Detroit speaking in front of an audience for the very first time. And the person who gave me that opportunity? Joey Travolta @oucares.autism ❤️ Joey Travolta was one of the first people who believed in me. ❤️ He gave me my first job illustrating books, then teaching animation at his summer camps, and introduced me to public speaking. Standing at that podium I remember not being nervous at all, instead being excited to be able to connect with all these people, and have the opportunity to help them understand how important their contributions were to help us people on the spectrum. Today, I’ve spoken to audiences all over the country and around the world, but watching this takes me right back to where it all began.
