On #QuadDay, thousands of students zig-zag along the sidewalks of the Main Quad, exploring organizations, meeting new people and discovering new interests. But do those sidewalks actually follow the paths students would naturally take? Hanna Jin (’19 LAS) asked, and we went looking for the answer. 👀 According to uofifs, they don’t. The walkways were planned to reinforce the Quad’s formal geometry, not students’ shortcuts.
