A 21-year-old Peoria man passed away after being struck by a train near downtown Flagstaff early Sunday morning. Flagstaff Police say officers responded around 2:15 a.m. on August 9 near San Francisco Street and the railroad tracks, where they found Jason Cataldo, 21. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Witnesses told police Cataldo had been lying on the tracks before the collision. Investigators say the train was traveling eastbound on the northernmost set of tracks.
