This one goes out to all of those who love Dolly Parton. There’s so many wonderful songs written and performed by her that could be typeset and printed in our print shop at the Sacramento History Museum but she has some inspirational quotes as well. In this video, in honor of the legacy of Dolly Parton, Channey letterpress printed a favorite quote by her. Set in 30 point Caslon font, the print states, “You’ll never do a whole lot unless you’re brave enough to try. - Dolly Parton.” This was printed with pink rubber base ink using a 4x6 Golding Official No. 2 tabletop printing press, which was made in 1919. Eighty prints were made on this press run.
