If you are blanking, it is probably not your rig. I know that is not what the tackle industry wants on a poster. But in twenty five years I have watched far more sessions lost to being in the wrong place than to a hooklink being four inches too long. A perfect rig in the wrong spot catches nothing. An ordinary rig in the right spot catches plenty. Get location right, then presentation, then start fiddling. In that order. Most people run it backwards and wonder why the new rig did not fix it.
