Known not only as one of Ohio State's all-time great athletes, he is also considered the first African American starter in professional football. It represents FIGHT - the backbone of our culture and the edge required as Buckeyes. Buckeyes constantly fight to be elite at what they do and who they do it with. It also represents toughness and accountability, a blue-collar personality which correlates with the program, the university, and the state of Ohio.
