Brightline built a train running between Miami and Orlando. It reaches top speeds of about 125 miles per hour; not quite high speed, but close. The company’s next project: a bullet train linking Los Angeles and Las Vegas in just over two hours, a trip that can take five hours by car. “Brightline West will be true high-speed rail, the first time in the country.
