Hunt Slonem’s newest works are landing soon at Carousel Fine Art. Slonem paints his signature bunnies, birds, and butterflies, then scratches a cross-hatched grid straight into the surface, a technique he says feels like weaving, like the wires of a birdcage. The inspiration isn’t abstract: Slonem keeps his own aviary of dozens of live exotic birds at home, and discovered he was born in the year of the rabbit, which is why the bunny became his signature. His work already lives in over 250 museum collections, including the Guggenheim, the Met, and the Whitney. Now his newest work is coming to our walls. Comment “SLONEM” and we’ll notify you the moment these land. CFA CHICAGO 230 W.
