Tennis late bloomer diaries 🎾✨ a series documenting my progress as an adult beginner. One thing that’s really helped my forehand lately is understanding when to wait and when to step in. 🎾 Higher ball → wait, let it come down, then hit with a bigger take-back and more spin 🎾 Low/fast ball → step in, shorten the take-back and take it earlier on the rise It sounds so simple when my coach explains it 😂 but somehow this made everything click. Still learning, still working on the timing, and definitely still making plenty of mistakes 😅 but that’s the fun of learning tennis as an adult.
