Eight years and one week to the day, we returned with our better halves to a place imprinted on my mind. Winchester has always held a special place in my collection of memories, with its rough remoteness and unwavering scale. To be back, in this new stage of life with another to share it with, is to complete a full circle I never could’ve imagined. Our next trip up to these jagged peaks may be in yet another decade, though regardless of time the constant state of these Cascades, and the camaraderie they promote will always be consistently in my thoughts. #hikes #northerncascades
