Another disputable draw for Roach, who was fighting 10 lbs above his normal weight class. In my opinion he showed an extremely high IQ and the ability to adjust and force Pit Bull to change his approach by being better than him on the inside. Then he boxed beautifully from the outside in the later rounds timing Cruz with the left hook. Pit Bull is a hard fight for nearly everyone. He had a good start and even scored a knock down which was evened out with the point deduction for hitting Roach’s hip. Cruz criticized the ref and said he was on Roach’s side, which I don’t agree with, since Cruz was throwing his head, shoulder bumping and hitting low. It was a tough fight for both and definitely close but I would have given the victory to Roach. I’d love to see a rematch. #boxing #roach #cruz #pitbull #texas
