After an arduous eight-month audition process, #ReeseWitherspoon changed then-23-year-old #LexiMinetree’s (@Lexi Minetree) life with a set of words as memorable as the Oscar winner’s iconic bend-and-snap: “You got the part. You’re Elle Woods!” This summer, the world got to see Minetree star in @elleonprime, Prime Video’s ‘Legally Blonde’ prequel. To stand out among the more than 3,000 hopefuls, Minetree recreated Elle’s unforgettable admissions tape—sparkly pink bikini and all. What? Like it’s hard? “As soon as I was told by Reese that I booked ‘Elle,’ I put on Hoku’s “Perfect Day,” and walked to the nearest jewelry shop and bought myself a pair of pink stud earrings,” says Minetree, a graduate of the University of Southern California’s theater program.
