Back at this series with Part 2! Many people donāt realize thereās actually different types of reactivity and understanding which one your dog is exhibiting is key for managing it. They are: 1ļøā£Ā Defensive Aggression - this is on leash aggression. Your dog is directly saying āstay the heck away from meā and trying to create space through distance increasing signals. 2ļøā£Ā Prey Drive and Frustration - this is when your dog wants to chase (or attack) something it sees, but the leash prevents it. The tug back of leash creates frustration which heightens the reactivity. 3ļøā£Ā Desire to Play to Frustration - Iām looking at you āHEāS FRIENDLY!!!ā Types. This one can be surprisingly insidious because if not corrected or managed, what once seemed like a harmless desire to say hi can turn into real aggression on the handler or other dogs. Each of these types need slightly different approaches. Curious what they are? Keeping tuning into the series where Iāll be breaking it all down! ā #reactivedog #d...
