i’m so proud of the growth 😭 y’all have no idea. up until i was 13, i got a relaxer every year, and once my sister and i hit 8th grade, my mom decided we were going natural. that was such a pivotal moment for me. i’ve had a love-hate relationship with my hair for as long as i can remember, especially growing up in spaces where i didn’t see a lot of girls who looked like me wearing their natural hair. but coming to my hbcu and being surrounded by so many beautiful black women embracing theirs has genuinely inspired me to embrace mine too. i’m still learning, still figuring it out, and definitely still dealing with the chaos that comes with natural hair lol, but i’m finally getting to a place where i can truly appreciate it for what it is. and that feels really special 🥹🤎 #naturalhairjourney #blackgirlhair #hbcugirl #naturalhair #blackgirlmagic
