Been sitting on this video almost a year. My boy Cesar from @rksport surprised me by bringing Larry‘s book to a totally unrelated event. It was the first time I’d seen one “in the wild” and the first time I was asked to sign one. I didn’t expect what he said next and it caught me off guard. My instinct is to shy away from the spotlight and just make cool stuff — let the work do the talking. But there’s no doubt it meant a lot to hear. And it takes a lot for me to say this, but looking back at the four books (and one magazine) we’ve launched in the last 12 months, there’s no doubt Cesar was at least a little bit right. So I’m going to embrace it and be louder about our accomplishments. It helps me remember our ultimate goal should be, to borrow a phrase from new author @vaughngittinjr , to “put smiles on faces.” Much more on the way to be excited about, and many more smiles to come.
