The biggest mistake players make when trying to shoot farther is trying to jump higher. They use all their legs getting off the ground and then have nothing left but arms.
What actually creates more range is shooting on the way up. The ball gets to your set point while your legs are still loaded, then everything extends together at the same time, legs and arms, so both power sources hit the ball at once.
The second key is ball speed. Power is strength times speed. Most players already have enough strength to reach the rim from deep. What they are missing is how fast they are
lifting the ball. Keep the ball closer to your body, lift it faster, and your power goes up without your form changing.
