Federal prosecutors say Daejon Labrayae Love spent four years telling women on dating apps that he played for the San Francisco 49ers. The part nobody is covering: he didn't just claim it. He posted enough fake content that Google's AI Overview started describing him as a 49ers wide receiver, then screenshotted that result and used it as proof. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Oregon, Love and 18-year-old Taylor Jamie Chan were charged by criminal complaint in Portland with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud.
