Garrett Wilson is one of those receivers where the box score doesn’t always tell you how good he actually is Since entering the league, the talent has been obvious. The releases, body control, route running, ability to separate and ridiculous adjustments when the football isn’t exactly where it needs to be. He makes catches look routine that really shouldn’t be. And that’s what makes the conversation around him so interesting. Wilson has already produced despite spending much of his career dealing with instability at quarterback. Watch enough of his tape and you’ll see how often he has to slow down, come back to the football, adjust his route or make a difficult catch instead of simply being hit in stride. Imagine what those numbers could look like with consistently high-level quarterback play. That’s why I don’t think calling a healthy Garrett Wilson a potential top-5 receiver is crazy at all.
