Josh Allen has reached the point where leaving him out of the NFL’s elite QB conversation is almost impossible
The arm strength gets most of the attention, but that’s only part of what makes him different. Allen can beat a defense from the pocket, extend a play when everything breaks down, launch the ball 60 yards downfield, or lower his shoulder and become a legitimate rushing threat near the goal line. There just aren’t many quarterbacks who put that much stress on a defense.
And the crazy part is how far he’s come. Early in his career, the biggest questions were accuracy, decision-making and whether his physical talent would ever translate into consistent elite quarterback play. Years later, he’s become the centerpiece of Buffalo’s entire operation and one of the toughest players in football to game-plan against. You can debate the order. Mahomes has the rings. Lamar has the MVPs. Other elite quarterbacks deserve their respect too.
