NEWS | Police give Village area ‘all clear’ after search for assault suspect JMU Police have given the Village area the “all clear” after searching for a suspect of an assault. Students were advised to avoid the area — which includes nine residence halls — or remain indoors until the “all clear” was given, according to a JMU Alert 11:04 p.m. As of 11:47 p.m., JMU Police remain in the area, but have determined it’s clear for students, according to a second alert. “Please be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the JMU PD at 540-568-6911,” the latest alert read.
