BREAKING NEWS | Football player’s car stolen, ‘wrecked’ behind Warsaw Parking Deck JMU and Harrisonburg police are investigating an abandoned stolen vehicle near Warsaw Parking Deck on Warsaw Avenue. A Harrisonburg police spokesperson said the stolen vehicle, a black Acura, was observed turning onto Warsaw Avenue from South Main Street. The vehicle went onto the curb behind the parking deck and was “wrecked” just before noon today, the spokesperson said. Senior JMU football linebacker and sociology major JT Kouame-Yao said it was his car that was stolen from The Mill Apartment complex Sunday around 8:30 a.m. After speaking with the complex, which he said has no security cameras, he reached out to Harrisonburg police. “I feel safe here at [JMU], but we’ve got to have more security,” Kouame-Yao said. “The apartments where we live in should be able to take care of us.” Kouame-Yao said he feels “blessed” that his car was found and he is safe.
