Toodles Tearoom, 110 E. Boulder St., has opened in the former location of Brooklyn’s on Boulder. The teahouse is a far cry from its former life as a Prohibition-era speakeasy and distillery.
It’s an over-the-top girlie girl place, from the overflowing pink and white flowers decorating the front windows and door to the quaint dining room with small tables and more flowers draping from the ceiling. It’s certainly inviting and beckons to slow down and enjoy a steaming pot of tea.
The tearoom is owned by Lisa Vaughn and her two daughters, Claire Schroeder and Brooke McKenzie. You may be familiar with their other venture, Sasquatch Cookies, which has grown to three locations since starting as a delivery cookie company in 2017.
The classic afternoon tea service ($48) consists of unlimited tea, tea sandwiches, scones with jam and mini desserts.
