An A380 is enormous, so repainting one requires a large dedicated team, specialized equipment, careful preparation, and precise application. The old paint has to be removed or prepared, surfaces are inspected, imperfections are addressed, and multiple layers of new coating are applied while maintaining strict aviation standards.
The entire process can take days and requires thousands of liters of paint. Every section of the aircraft — from the fuselage to the wings and tail — has to be handled with extreme precision because even small changes in paint thickness can add unnecessary weight.
